House Hunting, Again
So Heidi was gone this weekend. House-hunting. We're moving back to the Midwest, if you haven't heard. Our first and joint venture of finding a house was unsuccessful. It's crazy expensive to fly all of us out there, so Heidi went alone. It's kind of a tradition for us. As a family, we have purchased three houses, and it looks to be four (a successful mission, we think). The tradition is that only one of us actually sees the house we're buying before we do so! 75% of the time, this will be.
Mostly about Aedyn
My eldest child insists I put this advert on the internet for him, so here it goes:
So, if you have a mystery, the Boehmer Cids (sic) are up for the task. See, they even have magnifying glasses for looking at clues (the smudge is a fingerprint, FYI).
Now if you needed to build any confidence in whether he has a mind that might be predisposed to developing sleuthing skills, I happened upon this sidewalk chalk art when I went out to do chores this evening:
Translation: "What does infinity mean? How can there be an infinite number א ? Since it goes on forever, is there an א א that is larger?" (The first set symbol is supposed to be aleph-sub-null [the cardinality of the set of natural numbers, I think] and the second aleph-sub-aleph, I just don't know how to do all that here, sorry.) We had recently very briefly discussed set theory. He is trying to grasp that different infinite sets can have different cardinalities, despite infinity. Yah, I'm stumped.
