Napping Bliss

My little lamb just awoke from a 2 hour and 35 minute nap! Bliss for his mom, who also got a nap as well as a shower and some cleaning done, and an amazing recharge for a go-go baby. I needed this today!

Aedyn now calls me mama(m). He "oooooss!!!" over whatever he wants you go give him and he loves canned tuna (which only his papa will be feeding him because mom gags at the smell) but isn't fond of lime finger jello. Aedyn and mama both love to hover over the heating vents in the dinning room floor--I'm cold & he likes the 'breeze in his hair.'

Ride'im Cowboy

We got this 'little tykes' horse at the Episcopalian rumage sale for Habitat for Humanity. We got there about 20 min before they were closing down so we spent about $.10 on each item! (man, i love a bargain!) We got some books, a pretty tea tray, a 10 gallon aquariam with pump, about 5 toys including this horse, and a bunch of records. Aedyn is just now tall enough to ride his horse. He's not very confident though, so we usually have to hold onto him or he gets a bit upset. This video shows a rare ride-alone moment.

Sweet & Silly

I wanted to show you some current pictures. Aedyn is cutting his incisors and has wanted to be held most of the week. He's still usually fun, though; as long as Eric or I stay within arms reach as he plays on the floor. The best games right now: clearing out the plastic-ware cabinet and getting inside, crawl chase (he stops to get caught and kissed) and pushing any object, except those with wheels, around the floor as if it were a car.

In the picture of Aedyn and me, please notice 2 of our favorite christmas gifts from 2 of our favorite people. Aedyn's sweater is from Aunt Carrie and it matches his hat and mittens. My shirt says "mommy needs a cocktail" and was a gift from Tia Hannita.

Aedyn loves phone calls from Papa. And here he is in a break from 'chase.'

The Best Moments

Yesterday, Eric was able to climb back in bed when he brought Aedyn to me for his morning feeding. Most mornings E is getting ready for work and has time to get A out of his crib for a quick snuggle and then he puts the baby in bed with me. But Saturday was one of those beautiful mornings when we sandwich Aedyn between us and I watch my husband and baby drift in morning sleepiness; Aedyn suckling, Eric's arm around both of us. It may be one of the best moments of my life.
