Spring Joy

I LOVE spring. It's 80 now and we've spent a lot of the day outside. Eric is using his vacation working on the yard and garden. He's done lots of digging and tilling and hacking at tree roots in order to enlarge the 3 gardens. Today he also made moss and ground-cover plantings along the stone path that leads to the pond. Our yard wasn't cared for by the last home owners whose big dogs tore up the lawn and made huge holes everywhere. We want to reclaim our little place on the earth to make it lovely and productive and healthy. The new composter arrived this week we should have 'brown gold' in 3 weeks. The back yard is 'L' shaped and the section farthest from the house is lovely; wild violets, chives and buttercups, deer moss, clover and some grass.  Aedyn loved exploring. He tasted almost everything and seemed rather brave.

Oh, the cuteness! Nice jumper, someone wonderful must have sent that ;) I love that your backyard has a violet field in it. That's a little bit of magic right there. We're just getting crocuses and daffodils. Hurrah!

Everyone is saying the same thing about that darling romper outfit! Man, I love it. I'll have to find the picture of the outfit I concocted last month. I was worried A would outgrow the romper before it was warm enough to wear shorts so I dressed him in a green turtle-neck bodysuit and his orange-blue babylegs, blue socks and this happy orange jumper. Man was he cute.
