Tree Day

Yesterday we went and cut down our Christmas tree. It was a gorgeous day. It became too warm to wear a jacket, there was intermittent bright, clear sunlight and showers, and we saw three amazing rainbows.

It was a nice relaxed day (it's getting easier as the children age!) that started with pumpkin pie for breakfast, included watching "Elf" together, and ultimately decorating the tree.

Family rituals are so important and so nourishing to all members of the family. Seasonal rituals are wonderful. Family seasonal rituals paired with spiritual rituals are mind blowing! Tomorrow is the 1st Sunday in Advent . Your family is blessed to have the mindfulness to celebrate these rituals - blessed by rainbows.

Thanks, Jane! I agree. We have our Advent Wreath set up this morning and will spend part of today (the part not spent "to-and-fro-ing" for Nutcracker rehearsal) setting up our various nativities. Miss you guys. Love the pics you share!
